Blue-pigeon Flyer (W3)
Also ist umgsspr. engl. "blue-pigeon" = "Bleidieb".

"letter of manumission" = "Freibrief").

In 1799, after a decade of much debate and many false starts, the New York State Legislature passed the gradual "Manumission Act" that compelled slaveholders to "free any children born to slaves after July 4, 1799." In a further act, passed in 1817, slaves born before 1799 were to be freed a decade later, on July 4, 1827. The Quakers were the predominant group in the New York Manumission Society, which opened a school for slave children provided they were over 9 and could spell words of one syllable.

Poor Man’s Copyright (W3)
(E?)(L?) http://www.copyrightauthority.com/poor-mans-copyright/
In einem Beitrag der ADS-Mailingliste schreibt Benjamin Zimmer dazu:
Most references are to the legally dubious practice of mailing oneself a work to be copyrighted and using the postmark as proof of the creation date (though the 1988 Usenet cite below simply refers to using a copyright notice without registering the work with a copyright office). The 1992 cite quoting Willie Dixon suggests that the term has long been in circulation among blues musicians and songwriters.
