Leider gibt es zu "Hostetter" auf der angegebenen Seite noch keinen Hinweis zur Namensgebung.
Der Name der Stadt dürfte jedoch auf einen Personennamen zurückgehen.
Aber auch zu einem solchen Personennamen habe ich keine verwertbaren Hinweise gefunden. Mögliche Grundlagen wären "Hose", Auswanderer aus Hösel in Nordrhein-Westfalen, mhd. "hossen" = "wiegen", "schaukeln", Auswanderer aus "Hessen", "Hoßfeld" aus "Hosenfeld" in Hessen.
Der Name kann aber auch einen ganz anderen Hintergrund haben.

Malvern (borough) Chester County (W3)
Der Vorort "Malvern" im Chester County, PA, wurde benannt nach den "Malvern Hills" in England, an der Grenze zu Wales. Die ersten - aus Wales stammenden - Siedler folgten dem Ruf von William Penn und kamen um 1600 hierher.
Die Bezeichnung "Malvern" ist brythonischen Ursprungs ("Brythonic" war die Sprache der Kelten in Wales, Cornwall und in der Bretagne). Die Bedeutung des zu Grunde liegenden "moel fryn" soll in Wales ursprünglich "kahler Berg" gewesen sein.

Leider konnte ich zum Namen von "Sassamansville" nichts verbindliches finden.
Möglich wäre folgende Herleitung:
Der Name "Sassa" ist die weibliche Form des Namens "Sasso", der wiederum eine ndt. Nebenform von "Sachso" ist, und letztlich "Sachse" bedeutet (vgl. engl. lat. "Saxones" = "Sachsen", ahd. "Sahsun", engl. "Saxony"). Möglich wäre also, dass die Stadt von ein paar Sachsen bzw. einem "Mann aus Sachsen" gegründet wurde.
